Outdoor X-Training

Why X-Training?

X-training in sports and fitness involves combining different exercises to work various parts of the body.

Often, training activities work isolated muscle groups, leaving others untouched; X-training aims to eliminate this imbalance.

To succeed, you need to find genuine enjoyment in whatever activity you choose. Exercise is not just putting on lycra and grunting loudly while lifting heavy weights.

Exercise is hiking, swimming, jogging, playing team sports, and anything else that increases your heart rate, gets your body moving vigorously, and puts stress on your muscles.

Find a physical activity you enjoy, do it regularly and you'll soon see the results.

I like to take a 'whole mind & body' approach to my sessions. True health is more than just having a strong body. Mental health and wellbeing is key to living a long and meaningful life. I suggest exercising for 30 to 90 minutes a day.

FUEL

Everybody wants to eat but few are willing to rummage.

BODY

Everybody wants to succeed but only a few people are prepared to put in the work required.

MIND

Life is unpredictable. Refuse to quit!

"You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct and control your own path and environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.

About me

I am a 48 year old qualified Physical and Health education teacher and Level 2 Personal Trainer, with extensive educational experience.

I managed my own company for 12 years, training children and adults in fitness and well-being.

I am a plant-based triathlete and have been competing for 8 years nationally and internationally, representing Australia on 4 occasions, finishing in the top 5 in my age group.

In 2018, my plans of representing Australia for the 5th time at the ITU world championships were put on hold when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. With grit, focus, lots of research and a review of food choices I overcame this. With the help of my training partners, I set goals and achieved them all. Being accountable to someone else is the key to success.

I have learned that discipline is the root of all good behaviour and in turn positive results.

I am now in remission and now, more than ever, i want to help others achieve what is possible for them.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step...
